On behalf of the Senior Management Team, it gives me great pleasure to announce that Charles “Chico” LeClaire of the Denver office has reached his 30-year anniversary with Marcus & Millichap.

Chico was elected Executive Managing Director, our highest level of recognition in 2017. He specializes in self-storage investments and serves as an Executive Director of the Self-Storage Division. He was inducted as a Senior Investment Associate (SIA) in 1996, Vice President Investments in 2007, Senior Vice President in 2008 and Senior Managing Director in 2017.

Chico has been the top Self-Storage Division agent 10 times since the award’s inception. He’s been in the Top 10 companywide twice and amongst the Top 30 agents six times. He has earned Chairman’s Circle of Excellence three times, eight Chairman’s Club awards, 19 National Achievement Awards and an impressive 26 Sales Recognition Awards. He has sold over four billion in self-storage transactions in 33 states.

Chico was inducted into the Self Storage Association’s Hall of Fame in 2017, the first time a broker earned this distinction. In 2016, Chico won the Chairman’s “Kill the Competition” award and was voted the “Top Investment Broker” by the Denver Metro Commercial Association of Realtors (DMCAR). He also started the Colorado Self-Storage Owners Group and ran it for 10 years.

Chico graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He and his wife, Marlene, have an adult daughter, Renae. In his free time, Chico enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, reading, golfing, watching sports and spending time with his family.
